About me

Hi I'm Andrew.
I'm really pleased you've found my page. Thanks for taking the time to find out more about me.
I'm an integrative relational counsellor. That means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, but most importantly I work to develop an empathic, trusting relationship that helps you to a deeper understanding of what makes you tick.
I love working with people of all ages to help them overcome feelings such as anxiety, depression and that nagging sense of pointlessness which dogs so many of us.
I have many years' experience of working with teenagers and young adults and helping them to make sense of the world and find their place within it.
I have also worked with adults who, despite personal, academic and career success, experience an inexplicable lack of fulfilment.
I have both professional and lived experience of coming to terms with the challenges presented by invisible disabilities such as dyslexia and ADHD. I know that the effects of these conditions are profound and impact on the quality of life for people of all ages. I also have experience of working with parents and others who are supporting people living with neurodiversity.
I don't shirk from offering challenge when necessary, but always with compassion. I don't solve your problems: I support you to solve your own.

I work both face-to-face, at Hertford Counselling Service, Hertford and online, with clients from across the UK and beyond (please see links in the menu above for more information.)
